Upcoming Coaching Courses
In line with our coaching policy, the BDSFA will continue to subsidies courses to accredit all coaches. At its meeting held 18/1/08, the Management Committee resolved that we will completely fund all Grass Roots courses, Junior Licence 50% subsidy on completion of the course, Youth Licence 25% subsidy for the first year then a further 25% for the second year if the coach is still at the club he started with.

Two Junior License Courses will be held as follows :-
#1 - 28th May, 4th June, 9th June and 11th June - Course Full
#2 - 16th, 18th, 25th, and 30th June.

Upcoming Events
The Blacktown Football Academy is fully approved and licensed by Football NSW. Development Coach David Hubbard has put together a detailed agenda which will provide all the necessary skills for young players with various separate competitively priced programmes.
Our School Holiday Camps will continue to offer the only "all day" football camps specifically aimed at players 8-14. The next course will be held in the April School Holidays.
Keith Healey, the Spartans Director of Youth Coaching will again present his specialised Academies for young players in need of that "extra" skill.
FFA Accredited Grass Roots Coaching License will provide incoming coaches with two very necessary items. The knowledge to organise and train young players and the very necessary legal accreditation to bring all coaches under our insurance umbrella. The BDSFA In will continue its commitment to players by subsidising all coaching courses.

Karl Holdsworth Good Guys Good Sport
Winner of week 4 of Karl Holdsworth's Good Guys Good Sport Award comes from Prospect United's Under 8s.
Nominated by Patricia Wright, our winner is recognised for her Excellent defending and speed in covering the whole field. Her team support and great behaviour stands her in excellent stead for our award.
She wins a $50.00 gift voucher from the Good Guys.
