More than just a club.............

FFA's A League seems to be proving that it is here to stay by committing valuable resourses to grass roots football and in particular the BDSFA Inc Metropolitan League.

In an unprecidented move to show their true community spirit, Brendan Renaud the Community Football Officer from Sydney FC offered the BDSFA Inc two of their current A League 1st Grade players to assist in any coaching role the Association chose. Enter Terry McFlynn and Robbie Middleby. As assistant coaches to the BDSFA Inc Metropolitan League Under 11's and 12's, Terry and Robbie have been at all trials to help chose our players for 2007 and most training sessions. One one occassion they were granted special permission not to travel with their team to an away match so they would be able to spend time with "their" teams. Its hard to say who enjoys this arrangement most, our players who are thrilled to have professional footballers train with them or the Sydney FC players who seem to have been adopted by our whole Elite Teams.
