The minutes of the General Meeting of April 2007 were tabled

07/083 MSA Suspend standing orders to meet with Newbury Bulls
Dane - We have asked you here tonight as the M.C. feel you are struggling and may need help behind the scenes.
Newbury - We are a committee of 3 with a couple of ladies helping out in the canteen. We have had a meeting with our coaches and managers to discuss the fines we had in the first few rounds. They are all new and learning. It is better this year in that we have a home ground and they can walk to the ground.
Dane - with the lack of committee you have we don't want you both to burn out.
Newbury - a few more people are interested, we need to know the important positions and there job descriptions.
Dane - we do have a Secretaries Manual that we will get to you. Under the Incorporation rules you must have meeting and keep minutes of these meetings. We can also attend a General Meeting of your Club.
John - have co-ordinators for age groups to help with communication.
Robert - The referee's branch can come to your general meeting and talk to your players
Dane - we can also appoint a M.C. to your club to help you. Thank you for coming and Jack will get back to you.
Dane thanked them for coming.
Bruce - we do appreciate your offers of help.
07/084 MSA resume standing orders

07/102 GENERAL BUSINESS
1. Next Wednesday we will be having a meeting with the FDC's that have U14 girls teams as many of them have written to us about the competition.
Discussion ensued.
They must be reminded that they applied to be Female Development Clubs and it is all about developing the girls.
We need to get David to go to the clubs that seem to be struggling and see what we can do to help them.
Can we look at a re grade - it would still be the same.
If we re grade we would need to be very careful because other age groups some have big scores as well
We could bring in a mercy rule that the score stops at 9
Quakers Hill Junior held a girls skills night last Monday with girls from FNSW and some of our 1st grade girls went out as well as Don our coach
Don is willing to open his training sessions on a Tuesday night so the coaches can come along
Education is the big thing and it is not a given right that they are FDC they did apply
To be one we hope one day that all clubs will have girl teams.

Meeting closed
