07/244 SECRETARY MANAGER'S REPORT

• Football NSW Meeting
Report on inaugural meeting of the Junior Standing Committee on Saturday 21st July.
Pertinent points.
• The Junior Standing Committee will consist of the Chair (Jim Forrest) 4 elected members from Sydney Branch and 3 elected from Country Branches. FNSW Management will also attend.
• All Branched must change to become "subcommittees" then must un-incorporate.
• CEO will raise at next meeting with FFA to have a better clause placed into the FFA Registration form re privacy issue.
• Permission has been granted for Lee Newtown's ashes to be scattered in the goal mouth at VSP.
• Board requests suggestions for independent member
• Referees- referees will become a "subcommittee" and be un-incorporated at the State level and become directly responsible to FNSW. Sydney will be broken into 4 Zones (for referees) with an instructor being employed in each Zone. 3-5 year programme to lift standards to produce "talented referees". Elite referees will be appointed on merit only.
• Insurance - discussed re non-payment of death benefit and possible other failures in policy.
• Assistance was requested in policy on minors in canteens.
• Motion to raise $1 per player levy to provide the country branches with administration staff.
• Noted that some associations were not compliant with NSW Incorporations Act.
• Zone Council Meeting of Branches 24th August
• Sydney Branch grant requested.

Summer Soccer
• Paper presented to Clubs last week - MC discussed further inclusions. Mandatory Suspensions List tabled by P&DC Chair, and accepted for inclusion.
Discussion on Coaching credentials for summer soccer. Need for clubs to ensure all coaches have accreditation.
FNSW forms and fees not received as yet so fees cannot be set.
MSA That the Summer Soccer Rules and Conditions be accepted.
Finals
• Quakers Hill OK for Ladies final - still to OK with FNSW as first round of C of C will be played same date. May need to change date if necessary.
Need timetable for games at Aquilina
Suggest that NO parking be allowed at Aquilina Reserve, use BOP or old Aquilina.

FDC Meeting next week
• MC invited to attend and email inclusions
Finals discussion
Next season's structure - AAL + U21L, 16-14-12-10.
How many Licenses - decrease or increase? Need to increase all coaching credentials
Look at Rooty Hill RSL suggestion for Pre-season tournament

Academies
• Need to sort out an academy ASAP for possible inclusion in FNSW U10 tournament.
MSA Offer free Academy to players spotted by Doug Henretty for inclusion into FNSW Tournament. Scouts to attend semis and finals to pick players for major academy.
Discussion on the inclusion of an Under 8's SuperKidz Academy need to get players younger to teach good skill habit and carry forward for Metro League by Under 11

Roo Ball Finals
• To be held on 18th August 2007 in conjunction with Round 11 Catch-up.
MSA that Good Shepherd's application to hold Roo Ball Gala Day be accepted on parking preference.

2008 Season
• Discussion for ongoing training for all officials.
Suggestion that all officials see www.playbytherules.com.au for on-line training. Produces a certificate if you pass an on-line exam. Make it compulsory for all to present Certificate to their Club prior to registration. Question who will monitors?
Suggestion that the certificate carries points towards the compulsory identification programme.
Need to review upgrade rules for clubs who suffer
Up Grade Rules
• Secretary noted that some clubs are at a disadvantage with current upgrade rules.
Discussion noted that the Rules had been simplified as Clubs were constantly falling foul of original rules.
MSA That clubs be informed of their options and ways to help.

07/245 VICE PRESIDENT'S REPORT
Report Tabled
WSL have finished their Season with excellent results. Over 40 girls continue to train even though all commitments are finished.
U13 and U18 Youth League are already Minor Premiers with 3 matches to play, Youth League will be Club Champions.
State League are going well and both teams are still a chance for Finals Series.
Francis Park has full weekend and help is required

07/246 P&DC REPORT
Chairman tabled statistics on send offs, great effort by most age groups as figures are much lower than same time last season except for O35s
Apology to Mt Druitt Town who were Minuted as not responding in time to Mandatory offer, they did in fact respond in time.
Noted that there has been a big increase in case for inappropriate behaviour from Coaches and Managers. Discussion on removal of points as a possible deterrent.

07/247 RECORDER'S REPORT
As tabled
Clubs are reminded that Host Clubs must receive the team sheet after the match, some home teams still taking the team sheet and forgetting to give to club.
MSA That fines for late team sheets be relaxed for double header rounds only. Motion lost

Noted that appeal was successful due to non-attendance of referee.

Congratulations to all clubs for their great effort with the double header weekend.

07/250 GENERAL BUSINESS
1. Permission sought to buy a ball machine and portable goal - permission granted. Scoremore will attend the next General Meeting and demonstrate both to all clubs.
2. Ian asked for full list of Red and Yellow Cards to help tabulate Club Championship.
3. Discussion on last years Champion of Champions, Clubs are reminded that the MC decides who goes to Champion of Champions.
