07/422 SECRETARY MANAGERS REPORT
1. Early Christmas Present
FNSW have awarded us $5500.00 as a "Xmas Present" as a voucher for purchases at Soccer Wearhouse - suggest goals and balls for SSG
2. Sydney Branch AGM
Ian and I attended the Sydney Branch AGM. A new committee was elected and a financial statement tendered for the year ending 30th June, no one knew the current state of financial affairs.
Sydney Branch will un-incorporate soon and perhaps we will no longer need to attend.
3. Meeting Thursday 6th December FNSW @ Bankstown Sports
FFA's new venture will be revealed.
4. FNSW AGM
Ian and Dane are the voting delegates for the Blacktown Zone. 4 people have nominated for Board positions. George Jackson, (Current) Craig McCullum, Linda Ward and Ken Schembri.
5. Meeting with Auditor
Dane and I met with our Auditor last week, unfortunately, Ian and Laurie were unable to attend and Robyn was running late.
In essence, we were told that we (and Spartans) have some problems with the following: -
A tax liability with our investment funds
Tax problems with Sponsorships
Supporting Documentation for transactions to referees, players, coaches.
No Workers Compensation Insurance for Sue and me.
Paying coaches under $1500 as a "hobby" was not seen as a problem so long as we have the hobby forms signed.
Further:-
On Thursday, I had a meeting at FNSW with CEO Michael Quarmby re the above mentioned new proposals. As part of our discussions Michael discussed future FNSW Sponsorships and I asked how they dealt with taxation issues regarding sponsorships and investments. I was informed that as a Not-For-Profit Association Incorporated we had no tax liabilities.
As a result of further discussions, FNSW have offered to audit the BDSFA books and render a second opinion.
MSA the offer be accepted.
Noted that Workers Comp quote had been requested from OAMPS.
Noted that new procedures for payment and reconciliation requests have been adopted by the office.
6. Small Sided Games
As per report tabled and distributed to all clubs previous - discussion refined some points - wait until clubs have had input on Wednesday before final draft.
PA & Goals discussed
7. Team Points
As per report - more discussion + club input required
8. Partnership
FNSW and coaches (U11-12 us, 12-14 girls Spartans)
9. Bulk Ball Order

10. Affiliations
Completed affiliations were received from, St Patricks, Doonside, Eastern Creek, Glenwood, Kings Langley, Marayong. Minchinbury, Parklea, Quakers Hill, Tigers, Riverstone, Rooty Hill RSL and Seven Hills.
MSA That the above clubs nomination for affiliation be approved.
MSA those that are incomplete with 7 days to render all necessary articles or affiliation will be rejected.
It was noted that Polonia had not commenced its promised Junior player inclusion to come within the rules of the BDSFA Inc. nor had it applied for an EIN. Noted that rules allow for clubs to field seniors only but at an increased cost.
MSA Fee for Senior Clubs will be $740
