MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD 16/01/2008 AT FRANCIS PARK

Ian welcomed everyone back for the new season: The MC send its condolences to Bill Lodge.

08/001 MSA Suspend standing orders to meet with Blacktown Referee's Branch
Ian welcomed Barry, Peter and Mario to the meeting.
Barry - Payment of referee fees for this season, how will it happen and did the system we used last year work.
Jack - We don't know if it worked. Did all the clubs pay their bills.
Peter - Some did have problems but we sorted it.
Barry - We will be asking our referee's to supply the yellow copy of the team sheet to us so they will get paid.
Jack - We will make sure the clubs give the yellow copy to the referee's and if any have been left at the ground they will bring them in with the team sheets on a Sunday night and we can leave them for you.
Peter - some email addresses didn't work could I have mailing addresses.
Jack - we will ask the clubs to have the referee sign the invoice book so they know a game has been officiated by an Official referee
Dane - you could give us the invoices for the clubs and we can leave them in the pigeon hole for them to pick up on a Sunday night.
Barry - P&DC we will deliver the reports to you on a Sunday night.
Ian- when is the induction day for Roo Ball.
Barry - Jack has been sent a flyer. 1st March no time has been set.
Jack - it was been sent on to clubs
Jack - SSG we will need to have confident referees to start this off, we will be having an orientation day on 29th March and your roo ball referees are invited to attend.
Jack - Team points system we need to discuss.
Dane - Who is your Appointment Secretary
Barry - Warren is
Dane - can you let him know the Metro League starts the first weekend of March.
Mario - Could we arrange a meeting with Coaches and managers to let them know the changes to the laws of the games.
Jack we would have over a 1000 people that would need to attend.
Ian - Do clubs invite you to their meetings.
Barry - Not many do.
Ian - we will push it.
Jack - Our first General Meeting is the 20th February you are invited to attend.
Ian thanked them for attending.

08/007 TREASURER'S REPORT

08/008 SECRETARY MANAGERS REPORT 1. Major Raffle discussion on prizes and the cost involved and how this will help Blacktown Spartans and our clubs raise much needed funds.
2. SSG - we need to purchase goals using our voucher from FNSW. We have two committee members that don't have a portfolio, we could use both or one of them to look after the running of SSG.
MSA that we use our voucher from FNSW to purchase the portable goals.
Discussion on the way the games will be played, team numbers etc.
3. Coaching subsidies for 2008. Discussion
Resolved that we will fund all Grass Roots courses, Junior Licence 50% subsidy on completion of the course, Youth Licence 25% subsidy for the first year then a further 25% for the second year if the coach is still at the club he started with. Clubs will need to lodge a formal request for the final rebate on Youth Licences.
4. We have purchased the new card printer.
5. We will have meetings with the Premier League, O35's and FDC clubs, MC to attend. Any thoughts please let me know. Date yet to be decided.
6. Council have offered us Francis Park No 1 for one year only do we wish to take up the offer. No we will stay with Woodcroft Oval. Discussion on clubs requiring extra grounds to train on, we will need to look at clubs capping numbers.
7. We have two new sponsors - Wizard Home Loans and Amazon Outdoors.
8. We have been approached to take on Coever Licencee we need to discuss as FNSW are not real happy about us being involved.
9. Seven Hills United have asked for a meeting with us and Blacktown Demons to discuss the venture they have been offered from Demons. I will set down a time to meet with Seven Hills only.
10. Sydney F.C. passes for Sunday nights game.
