NEW WORKING WITH CHILDREN FORMS MUST BE COMPLETED BY COACHES & MANAGERS.

The first part of the changes to the Working with Children's forms come into effect on June 15 and FNSW have announced that a new form is now required by all coaches and managers to be completed. This is contrary to previous advice provided.

Forms can be obtained from the canteen and must be completed and returned with your photo ID.

James Miller will be at Glendenning tonight between 5.30 and 7pm and tomorrow night between 6 and 8pm.

Apologies for the short time frame but the forms were only recently provided.

Important message for all volunteers

From 15th June the NSW Working with Children legislation will change. All WWC forms currently held by Clubs will lapse and become void. A new WWC format will be introduced for all persons with “child related roles” in the near future. We will keep your club and you informed as they happen.

In the meantime, the FFA and FNSW have worked together to produce a new FNSW Member Protection Declaration Form. This form is to be signed by everyone performing a role within our clubs. The form must be completed and lodged with your club between the 15th June and 12th July. You must also provide proof of identity when lodging the completed form. This usually means a driver’s license or a passport.

You may, if you wish, refuse to sign and lodge the form. If so, we cannot allow you to continue coaching, managing or volunteering within our organisation.
The form has been sent to your club and they will manage the way in which you sign and lodge the document.
We have noted that many of you are not correctly registered either on the National Data Base “My Football Club” or with our own internal programme. We have been asking our clubs to update all information, but it seems some are not complying. All officials who are registered will have an Association produced ID Card. If you don’t have one, please ask your club to organise one for you.
Member protection is everyone’s role and I know you will all go out of your way (again) to ensure we keep our members safe at all times.
